DevOps Engineer & Junior Developer
I got hooked on Customer Support when I worked for Travelocity back in 1999. Since then I've used my empathy, talent for technical things, and enthusiasm for helping people to create positive customer experiences — by treating people with respect, digging deep into problems to find solutions, and not giving up until they're solved. I believe everyone is just trying to do their best, and sometimes they just need a friendly, confident person to help them do that.
I have a knack for understanding and fixing technical things, so I really enjoy the Tech Support field. I decided to start enhancing my technical skills by studying things like Routing and Switching and Full-Stack Development. I prefer asking, "How can I do that?" rather than "Can I do that?" Regardless of what I’ve learned, I’ve always found it fascinating, and I love using my ability to help people and build things.
Writing code is a new love of mine. I have worked with Wordpress before and had good results, but my favorite thing to do is learn how to build things the way I want them to look, from scratch. I have worked with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and a little bit of Java, among other things, and I used the first three to build this website. I am a lifetime learner, and I look forward to seeing where this path will take me.
Customer Support Pro & Developer based out of Missouri
Born in a small town in Missouri, USA, I grew up understanding the importance of treating all people with respect by default. This knowledge has served me well in everything I have done — from being a waitress, to working in Home Health, to Customer Support & Billing, to Technical Support, to working in Human Resources — people respond favorably when you treat them with respect and make them feel heard.
I have found that I feel the most fulfilled when I combine my caring for people with my love for solving problems. As a mom who is also a Customer Service Professional that has received the highest CSAT scores my manager had ever seen, taking ownership of problems and presenting things in a caring way comes naturally. I am a lifetime learner with a high standard for excellence — and my development projects and the results I have gotten at my previous jobs are proof.
You're invited to look around and check out my projects and social links on this website, and if you like what you see, to contact me via the contact form, or directly at my contact details listed in the contact section. I will continue to add projects to my portfolio as I create them, so please feel free to check back from time to time. I would love to discuss how my experience can help you achieve your goals, and I look forward to hearing from you.

A membership site made with HTML, CSS, Javascript, Java, Node.js, Spring, Tomcat, MySQL, RestAPI, and many more.
I created this app in 2020 at Claim Academy's Java Bootcamp in St. Louis. This is a membership app that allows single parents and elderly people to connect to benefit those who might not have the funds to get the help they need, by exchanging their knowledge and skills for assistance. We were given the task of choosing what type of app we wanted to build, then we learned how to use quite a few different technologies to create them. The pandemic hit halfway through the class, but I still had fun.
A mock client site using HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
I joined a free online coding bootcamp called Stackademic in March 2021. I created this site as an assignment in my 4th week of CSS class. I used HTML and CSS only in the original assigment, but added Javascript later for the toggle menu. At this point, I had not yet figured out how to make the intro image work with the card it was on, but overall I was satisfied with the finished result, considering it was just my 4th week of CSS.
My Developer Portfolio using HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
I wanted to make a beautiful unique site that would present a professional image. For the header, I created the typical curved header that so many people make, but inverted it so the white part would be the header, and the colorful part would be my intro section. I also added a parallax effect, and a lot of other fun stuff. I had a lot of fun (and learning opportunities) creating this site, and I hope you enjoy it. Of course, you have a choice of which button to click to go back to it. :)
